That's the first time I've written the year! Happy 2015.
I started this blog in January of 2014. January 27th to be exact. I haven't quite been doing it for a year, but I've done enough. I have been grateful for everything this year, and writing it down helped me appreciate it even more. I've learned a lot about appreciating the little things, and even though I'm no longer going to continue with this blog, I will continue to appreciate everything in my life. I'm ridiculously happy with my life.
Here are a few things from my last week of 2014.
The 29th and 30th (Monday and Tuesday), I worked. I also got some new clothes! Boots and a cute new shirt. My old winter boots are starting to fall apart a little. These ones are guaranteed warmth. They're a Christmas present from Clint. We picked them out on Monday, and then had supper out. Tuesday, I wore the cute shirt and boots to work, and then we packed up for an ice fishing trip. These are also the very last pictures ever to be seen from my cell phone. I'll explain that later.
Saturday, January 3rd
No fishing. We got up and headed home.
January 4th
Today, we took down the tree and decorations. I'm leaving a little bit of Christmas up. All the pictures we received in the mail will stay on the freezer. As sad as I am that Christmas is over, I'm really happy to have more room in the house with the tree gone.

December 31, 2014
The last day of 2014, Clint and I packed up the truck and headed to Tobin Lake for a fishing trip bright and early in the morning. It was a gorgeous drive.
We arrived in time for lunch and to check in, and then headed out to do some fishing.
My FIRST FISH! We didn't keep it. Also, by the end of the trip, I actually grabbed on to the fish, unhooked them, and put them back in the water. By myself!
I'd also like to mention that on this day, I didn't bring my cell phone into the ice hut. I thought it was safer if it was charging in the truck. I was really smart this day. Most of the pictures posted were taken with my camera.
New Year's Eve brought love and cuddles. Best way to ring in the new year. We were asleep by 11:30. Haha. Real grown ups. We were awake again at 3:30 in the morning when the bar closed and a fight broke out. The gratitude in that situation was that my New Year was perfect compared to the people screaming and yelling outside.
January 1, 2015
On the first day of the New Year, we were up early to start fishing. Just in time for the sunrise. I did take my phone into the ice shack with me, and I was very careful!
We fished all day until it was dark, and got a few to keep. After supper, it was an early night so we could get up early to fish the next day.
January 2nd
This is a picture Clint took with his phone, shortly after I dropped mine into the ice hole. He was nothing short of a hero, diving onto the ground to try to save my phone. I was sad. I may have shed a few tears, but also, I laughed at how crazy it was. Every time I pictured myself not paying attention, and somehow dropping the phone, I laughed. (And teared up). I am phoneless as I write this. I'm surviving.
I was really sad, but at the end of the day, it's just a phone. I'll get another (hopefully I can afford another). The trip was so great, and so much fun. I don't regret a moment.
We had a really cool fishing experience the same day. The fish were swimming right under the ice so we could see the school of white fish, and see them grab hold of the bait. We got three in about 10 minutes. We would have had more, but I'm still working on keeping them on my hook all the way out of the hole.
No fishing. We got up and headed home.

So much to be grateful for in 2014, and I'll have even more to love in 2015. Starting with house hunting, and going from there.
I'll still be posting regularly on my blog below (erinisawriter). Thanks to anybody who has read any posts in the last year. Happy 2015!
